LAUNCH: "Home, Displacement, and Belonging"

STAIR welcomed Leopold Muller Professor of Forced Migration and International Affairs, Alexander Betts, on Wednesday, 8 March for the launch of STAIR's issue on the theme, "Home, Displacement, and Belonging."

The issue examines the rather obscure and amorphous concept of "home" often avoided in academic discourse. The term is so very intimate and immediate to the human experience, whether we are speaking of Syrian refugees or Brexit voters in northern UK. Many of the articles in this current issue seek to tackle this concept in all its multiplicity and complexity.
